I am a communications professional with a passion for humanitarianism and telling people's stories.

As a communications advisor with the Canadian Red Cross, my role involves working to increase public awareness of international humanitarian aid work through a partnership with Global Affairs Canada. This includes planning conferences and engagement events, leading the national Youth Advisory Committee and reporting for the government.

 

I have an honours BA in history from Huron University College and an MA in history from the University of Western Ontario. My masters program involved the completion of a cognate paper, entitled "Beyond Little Rock: School Desegregation Violence in Three Northern Cities".

 

I have extensive experience in researching, writing, editing and media monitoring. I also have experience in media relations, communications planning, social media, event planning and Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
